Submitting Tasks

  1. Navigate to https://support.us.utah.edu

  2. Find the support hub you need

    1. For IT Support, select “Submit IT support request” under the IT Support Header

    2. For Chief of Staff requests such as New Employees or Employee Exits, select “Submit COS support Request” under the Chief of Staff header

  3. After selecting the respective “Submit Request” link, you’ll see a similar layout for each support hub. For this example we’ll use the IT Support portal.

  4. Find the request type that best matches your needs, then select it and fill out the form fields:

  5. When you’re done, select the “Send” button

Logging in / Viewing Open Support Requests

  1. To view your open support requests on https://support.us.utah.edu, you must first log in.

  2. If this is your first time logging in, simply select “View my open support requests” under the “Staff Support Login” header

  3. Follow the instructions on the login page

  4. After signing in, you’ll be brought to a page listing your open support requests

    1. If any of your requests have the status “Waiting for customer”, that means that the most recent comment on the request is from a support agent and may be waiting on a response from you

  5. Select any request to view all the comments that have been added since its creation. You can also post new comments here.

Searching Knowledgebase for Info

  • We’ve published various knowledgebase articles (AKA how-to guides) that you can access from https://support.us.utah.edu

  • At the top-right of the page, you’ll see a search bar. Here you can search for a keyword, such as “Outlook sign-in” and see any relevant articles we’ve published.
