Getting signed into everything you need for a new position or when you get a new computer. There are quite a few things to log into. Typically it takes about 20 minutes to get everything from Email to box setup. Below are the steps.

  1. Sign into CIS the First time - This part is done by our HR representative and triggers access for all services to be available on the official start date of your new job role. Some items can be signed into

  2. DUO 2 Factor Authentication - This is required to use resources like Umail, Box, Adobe apps, CIS, Canvas, Zoom, you get the idea.

  3. Box - If you have never signed into box, you need to start by signing into https://box.utah.edu to activate your account. Then if you are using a department issued computer, you can sign into Box Drive by locating Box Drive in your start menu for Windows or Box in your Applications folder for Macintosh using your_unid@utah.edu. From there you will get the familiar unid/password and DUO prompts.

  4. Adobe - On a department issued computer, locate Adobe Creative Cloud in your Start Menu on windows or in the top menu to the left of the clock on a Macintosh. Sign in using your_unid@utah.edu. From there you will get the familiar unid/password and DUO prompts.
