Open Office Files in Box with Microsoft Office Online

You can open Microsoft Office files in Box with Microsoft Office Online. This is great when you want to edit a file collaboratively with others. You get a “Google Docs” like experience with multi user editing. It’s also great in a pinch if you need to work from home or edit a file when you’re using a computer you don’t have setup with Box Drive.

1. Sign into Box (https://box.utah.edu/)

2. Select the file and click on the three dots as shown:

3. If you are previewing the .docx or .xlsx in box, select the open button as shown:
