Change your CIS Password Needs update for FileVault2

Changing your CIS password is easy, but there are a few things you need to know, especially if you make the change when you are off campus. Check out the tutorials below to learn how.

For department managed computers
Please check all steps that apply to you.

For personal computers that don’t use Unid authentication to sign into the computer
You only need to follow step one.

When you have completed the steps below, I recommend restarting your computer. This is usually faster than signing out and back in to Outlook, Skype for Business, Teams, Box, Adobe and any other apps that use your Unid and CIS password for authentication.

Step One - Change your password in CIS.

Step Two - If you are working remotely or on campus connected to Uguest WIFI follow this step to connect to the Campus VPN. If you are on campus connected to Uconnect or a wired network connection, go to step three. If you are using a computer that is not managed by UGS IT, you may need to download and install the Cisco Anyconnect VPN Client. Please contact your IT department for assistance.
