Teams on Windows - Sign on

This is how to sign into the Microsoft Teams app for a Windows Device. University provisioned computers will already have the app installed. Teams will allow you to make and receive calls to your University of Utah phone number from the app as if you were at your desk, as well as have chat and file sharing capabilities.

If you would like to install on a personal device, go to this link - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app#desktopAppDownloadregion

Instructions

  1. Launch the Teams app on your PC. (For department issued computers, it will be in the Start Menu)

  2. In the box under “Sign-in address”, enter your [uNID]@umail.utah.edu and click Sign in.

  3. Next you will see the U of U common authentication window. Confirm your [uNID]@umail.utah.edu is entered as the User Name, and then type your CIS password and click Sign In.

  5. If asked if you would like to allow your organization to manage this device, click No, sign in to this app only.

  6. Now you are signed into Microsoft Teams.
