Mac Desktop Application Sign-In Cheat Sheet
Here’s a quick guide for signing into common services.
Adobe Products
Adobe Creative Cloud will launch automatically in the background after logging into your account
If you don’t see the highlighted icon from the below image in the top right, check your Applications folder for it and launch it from there
Select the highlighted icon
Enter your unid@utah.edu in the email address field (e.g. u123456@utah.edu), then click ‘Continue’
The following screen will open. Enter your unid and password, then select ‘Login’
After selecting ‘Login’, you’ll be prompted to provide 2-factor authentication. Either send a push or enter the passcode directly from the Duo app on your mobile device.
After approving the Duo notification or entering the passcode, you’ll be brought to the following page (sometimes after an update) where you can select which Adobe products you’d like to have installed:
Box Drive
To sign into Box, either select the icon that says ‘Box’ in the top toolbar, or open it from the Applications folder. The following window will open:
Enter your uNID@utah.edu, and select ‘Next’
Complete the sign-in on the following page using your uNID and password
Approve the Duo notification
After signing in, you’ll see a folder in your Finder sidebar labelled ‘Box’ where you’ll be able to store your files. We recommend making a habit of storing everything in Box, as it’s the best way to insure against data loss in the event of a hardware failure, or transitioning to another computer.
Outlook Desktop Application
Navigate to your Applications folder in Finder, then open Microsoft Outlook
On first launch, you’ll be asked to add an account in the following window
Enter your UNID@umail.utah.edu, then select ‘Continue’
After selecting Continue, you’ll be presented with the following page
Enter your unid@umail.utah.edu and your password, then select ‘Sign in’
Next, either send a DUO push notification or enter the passcode shown in your DUO app on your mobile device. Approve the request.
After approving the login request, you should see the following screen confirming that the account was added successfully
Select ‘Personalize Now', and pick whichever customization options you prefer. Afterward you’ll be taken to your inbox.
Teams Desktop Application
Navigate to ‘Applications’ in Finder, and open Microsoft Teams
You’ll see the following screen
Select ‘Get started’
After selecting ‘Get started’, you’ll see the following screen
Enter your unid@umail.utah.edu, then select 'Next
On the following screen, enter your unid@umail.utah.edu followed by your password, then select ‘Sign in’
Send a push or enter a passcode on the following screen, then approve the login request on your mobile device
Zoom
Navigate to your ‘Applications’ folder in Finder, and launch ‘zoom.us’
Upon launching, a browser should open and take you to the following page:
Note: If your browser doesn’t immediately take you to the University sign-in page upon launching Zoom, you may have to select the ‘Sign in with SSO’ button on the Zoom application’s sign-in screen
Sign in with your UNID and password. Approve the DUO authentication. You’ll be taken to the following page:
Select ‘Allow’ (if you don’t see the pop-up, select the blue ‘Launch Zoom’ button)

You should now be signed in!
