I do not have a smart phone or I am unable to install DUO!

Login to CIS:

If you have never logged into CIS before

  • Navigate to https://cis.utah.edu/ (cis.utah.edu)

  • TRIO will provide you with your uNID!

  • PASSWORD should be your birthday in the form mmddyy

    • Example May 5, 2005 - 050505

  • When you login you will be prompted to change your password and set security question/answers

    • do not skip this step!

  • DUO - if you are prompted to setup DUO make sure you complete this step! you may not be able to login again if you do not complete!

  • DONE!

If you have signed into CIS before but cannot get in now:

  • Call the Campus Help Desk: 801-581-4000 (Option 2)

  • They will need to verify your identity so be prepared to answer security questions

  • They can unlock an account that has been frozen from too many failed login attempts, reset a forgotten password, or assist setting up a new device for DUO

  • Navigate back to https://cis.utah.edu before you hang up to verify that you are able to login while you still have the Help Desk agent on the phone!
