Prior to logging into Teams
Download “DUO Mobile” App to your device
iOS - Download from App Store
Android - Download from Play Store
I do not have a smart phone or I am unable to install DUO!
Make sure your device is fully updated!
Android 11 or higher required
iPhone - iOS version 15 or newer required (iPhone 6s and newer are capable)
Try to install DUO again after you update (if version requirements are met!)
If this does not work then you may need a DUO token (or a newer phone)
Speak with TRIO staff if you have any questions!
Login to CIS:
If you have never logged into CIS before
Navigate to https://cis.utah.edu/ (cis.utah.edu)
TRIO will provide you with your uNID!
PASSWORD should be your birthday in the form mmddyy
Example May 5, 2005 - 050505
When you login you will be prompted to change your password and set security question/answers
do not skip this step!
DUO - if you are prompted to setup DUO make sure you complete this step! you may not be able to login again if you do not complete!
DONE!
I have signed in before:
Login to verify my account is active and that I know my username/password and that my DUO authentication works
Navigate to https://cis.utah.edu/
Login with your uNID and password (this will be one you set yourself)
If you have set up DUO you will get a 2 factor authentication message
If you have not set up DUO you may be prompted to set it up. Please follow the steps! You downloaded the app already, please be sure to complete the DUO setup or you may not be able to get back into your account!

If you have signed into CIS before but cannot get in now:
Call the Campus Help Desk: 801-581-4000 (Option 2)
They will need to verify your identity so be prepared to answer security questions
They can unlock an account that has been frozen from too many failed login attempts, reset a forgotten password, or assist setting up a new device for DUO
Navigate back to https://cis.utah.edu before you hang up to verify that you are able to login while you still have the Help Desk agent on the phone!
Verify you can log into your U of U Microsoft Account
Navigate to https://o365cloud.utah.edu/ (o365cloud.utah.edu) and click LOGIN to get to login page:

I am unable to login
If you are certain the username and password are being entered correctly and the user cannot login please call the campus help desk at 801-581-4000 (Option 1)
Explain that you are able to login to CIS, but that you cannot login via o365cloud.utah.edu and any error messages that you received.
Verify you have a Teams license with your UofU Microsoft Account

login with unid and CIS password
